New 3D Printing process for ultra-thin multi-material tubular structures (2 minute read) - Link

Researchers at Beihang University created a new 3D printing method for ultra-thin, multi-material tubes. This method can print tubes as thin as 50 micrometers and is especially useful for delicate structures like blood vessels and grafts. Traditional 3D printing struggles with these thin, complex shapes. The new technique, called Polar-coordinate Line-projection Light-curing Production (PLLP), uses a rotating cylinder and light to build the tubes layer by layer.

This method offers advantages over existing techniques, allowing for faster creation of smoother tubes with multiple materials. Researchers believe PLLP could be used to quickly customize medical implants and manufacture components in various fields, including dentistry and aerospace. While still under development, PLLP has the potential to revolutionize the creation of intricate tubular structures across various industries.

Hexagon Moon Wall Art(Quan1um_1914208 on Printables) - Link

We are suckers for space. Anything space really. So when we saw this wall art piece made of moon like landscape we fell in love. There is a screw hole on the back of the pieces for easy mounting and even a mounting jig to print to get the spacing just right!

3D Printed Croc Shoes (MakerVerse Designs on Maker World) - Link

What can we really say here? You either love Crocs or hate them. If you love them, then here is your chance to 3D print them. Included in the link is a size chart for figuring out how to scale these up or down. Some of the commenters have said 95A TPU feels too tough for these but that 85A TPU was a bit tough to print. Either way, most of the commenters love this print. Give it a shot!
