KelNishi Shows You How to 3D Print Your PCB Stencil Jig - Link

KelNishi on YouTube shows you his entire process to design and 3D print a stencil jig for your custom PCBs (if you’re into that sort of thing). While the process can be a little involved, you can save a lot of money: $1.25 in PLA vs $300 at the minimum for a real PCB jig. Check out the video below to view his process and try for yourself!

Azure Printed Home shows off 3D printed home made from recycled water bottles (2 minute read) - Link

A company called Azure Printed Homes showcased their 3D-printed tiny homes made from recycled water bottles in Nashville last week. These eco-friendly homes are available in various sizes, ranging from a 100-square-foot studio for $19,900 to a 360-square-foot, two-bedroom model for $94,900.

The homes can be built anywhere in the US within four weeks of ordering and are designed to withstand severe weather conditions, including winds exceeding 150 mph. The company also offers a panel discussion to educate people about 3D printing and sustainable building materials.

3D Printed Skateable Features in New Zealand Skatepark (4 minute read) - Link

Mount Maunganui's new "Destination Skatepark" boasts the world's largest 3D-printed skate feature, "The Wave," alongside other 3D-printed elements like quarterpipes and ledges.

This innovative approach to skatepark design uses a sustainable low-carbon concrete mix that's 30% less polluting than traditional concrete. The 3D printing process allows for unique and complex shapes difficult to achieve with conventional methods.

The skatepark was designed with community input and caters to all skill levels, with separate zones for beginners, intermediate, and advanced skaters. The 3D-printed features offer a variety of challenges, including The Wave's curving form and ledges for grinding.

This project represents a collaboration between the Tauranga City Council, local skaters, and 3D printing company Qorox. It establishes a new standard for sustainable and creative skatepark design.
