Asetek Uses AI and 3D Printing to Create Water Cooling Blocks (5 minute read) - Link

Asetek, a Danish cooling systems company, is using AI and 3D printing to improve water block designs. AI helps optimize water block internals for better heat removal and quieter operation. 3D printing from Fabric8Labs allows for complex water block structures that traditional methods can't achieve.

These advancements are expected to be used in Asustek Computer ROG series products. The impact on cost and production volume is still unknown, but the technology promises significant improvements in cooling systems.

Astronauts Print first 3D Printed Metal On Board the ISS - Link

ESA's metal 3D printer aboard the ISS successfully printed its first metal object, a simple S-curve. This marks a major breakthrough for in-space manufacturing. The printer uses a high-powered laser to melt and deposit metal wire, and is designed for safety and operation in microgravity.

Future plans involve printing more complex parts to study the effects of microgravity on 3D-printed metal. This technology has the potential to revolutionize space travel by enabling on-demand tool and parts creation, reducing reliance on Earth and increasing mission success.
